A brilliant but volatile scholar named Vicky (Namashi Chakraborty) publicly accuses his legendary mentor, Professor Gopal Nadkarni (Sanjay Dutt), of institutional bias after his thesis on the RSS is rejected. This private disagreement escalates into a massive, nationally televised debate fueled by media sensationalism and political interests.  The narrative delves into sensitive historical events, including the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, the Emergency, and the Babri Masjid demolition, aiming to uncover a "buried truth". As the debate intensifies, Vicky’s true personal motives surface, leading to a final question (Aakhri Sawal) that could either redeem the Professor or destroy them both.
